Art Empires 0.18.0: Art styles, supply lines and the Town Wall
Sep 15, 2026
Art Empires 0.18.0 is live. Adopt an art style for your empire, send coffee on a standing supply line, and research new branches that open more cities, taller walls and focused packs.
Added
- Art styles. Research Movements at the Research Institute, then adopt a style at the Capitol Building. A style has a bonus and a drawback for every city, and changing it starts a period of unrest.
- Your buildings, advisor, Generals, Diplomats, crews and scenes are drawn in your empire's art style, and as wireframes during unrest.
- The Shipping Office runs a coffee supply line: a standing order that sends spare coffee from its city to your other cities every 1 to 24 hours.
- Recall a shipment still at sea from the Port or My empire. The whole hold comes home after as long as it had been out.
- In an Arena match, a Town Wall can stand in front of the defender. It guards the deck master, hits back when attacked, and gains Reach from level 6.
- Four new research branches: Civics, Fortification, Trade and Curation. They raise the city cap, let walls grow past levels 10, 20 and 30, add Auction House listings and reach, and improve repairs, recycling, collection room and deck slots. Empires that already had more cities or taller walls keep them.
- Research tiers now need a Research Institute level, and tier 2 of Resources adds Stoneworking, Coffee Cultivation, Glassmaking and Mana Extraction.
- Focus a pack at the Art Studio from level 3, towards new releases, a class, a minion type, a keyword, an artist or a named card.
- The collection leaderboard ranks players by the different cards they hold and by complete artist portfolios, and the overall board now counts it.
- The PvE leaderboard shows gallery levels and your raid record. Each leaderboard has a help page explaining its score.
- Choose your time zone in Settings. Every time in the game is shown in it.
- A public profile can show pronouns and a country with its flag.
- The deck editor has a cards view with a minus and plus on every card, Reset deck, and deck masters added like any other card.
- Advisor tips suggest building a Town Wall, practising against one in the Arena, and raising it to level 6.
- The Diplomat shows each player's avatar beside their name.
Changed
- The Research Institute's research is split into an overview and a tab per branch.
- An Auction House sees and buys listings within its level plus one hexes. For sale is split into cards, with card filters, and resources, priced per unit.
- From September 16, Research Institute levels cost glass and less stone. Levels already built keep what they cost.
- Battles no longer end at thirty turns. Once a deck runs out, Depleted damage rises with every draw until the match ends.
- The battlefield is redesigned: both boards form one card, tiles show the card's art with the name on hover, targeting minions land first and then pick a target, and the hand is a grid of six on desktop. Cards drawn over a full hand are wiped away.
- Card filters fit on one line with dropdowns for classes, types, keywords, rarities and sort, and keep the page where it was scrolled.
- Signing in returns you to the page you were on. The Submit page asks for email confirmation and a DeviantArt connection itself.
- The leaderboard shows each player's avatar and a message icon beside their name.
- The advisor box can be closed with an X, which stops tips showing in game screens.
- The footer links to the Discord server.
Fixed
- The Auction House fits on a phone.
