Art Empires 0.20.0: Every deck lives in a city

Sep 17, 2026

Art Empires 0.20.0 is live. Your decks each sit in one city, defend it from the Town Wall and sail between your cities, and your advisor's tips no longer hold up the page.

  • Every one of your decks is in one city, and one of them defends it. The Defence box sits under that city's Town Wall, and a city with no deck defends with its wall alone.
  • Send a deck to another of your cities from a Port. It walks free across its own island, and it defends nothing until it lands.
  • A raid takes only the decks in the city it leaves from.
  • When you suggest a card yourself, a second Generate with AI proposes its class, numbers, abilities and rarity from your piece and the name, flavour and description you have typed. Change any of it before you submit.
  • The upgrade panel lists what the busy construction crews are building, with a link to each.
  • Lines in the changelog link to the help pages for what they mention.
  • Your advisor's tips load after the page has drawn and refresh only when something has changed, so moving around the game no longer waits on them.
  • Every page that reads your research is faster.
  • The reminder we email when you have been away says that your account will be deactivated, when, and what it costs you. Turn those emails off in settings.
  • The battle offer, raid arrival and match result dialogs put their buttons on the right, like every other dialog.
  • Your advisor no longer asks the server over and over behind a clock that has stood still, and a tab left open while you signed out elsewhere wakes up when you sign back in.

Art Empires is my city-building empire game you play in your browser, and every card in it is a deviation submitted by the artist who made it. Play Art Empires at ArtEmpires.com, or read the full changelog.
